This is a road bike design that myself and another Industrial Designer (Raoul de Villiers) designed. The brief was to create an aerodynamic, stiff and aesthetically pleasing high performance carbon fibre road frame.

This is the final 3d model that went to production.

Tubing profiles were carefully crafted to create adequate stiffness vs aerodynamics in key areas.

I was also responsible for the graphic design of this project.

This Silverback Scalera won a Eurobike design award in 2012.
